Snow Day

I have wonderful memories of playing in the snow. We’d play until our feet were too cold to continue. Mom would put our feet in cold water, because warm water would hurt too much. The cold water was warmer than our frozen feet. It was worth all the snowmen, snowball fights, and sledding. We’d do it day after day until the snow melted. School days we’d get off the bus and run to our snow-covered yard and start playing in the white dream. Some days we’d gather clean snow for mom to make snow ice cream.
