Majestic Symbol of Freedom
When we are fortunate to see a Bald Eagle, we’re impressed by it’s stately presense and size.
The Majestic Bald Eagle is the Official mascot of the United States. The image of the Bald Eagle is on most currency and official seal. The Bald Eagle is not Bald, but it’s white head atop it’s dark brown feathers are the most recongnized feature inspriting the name Bald Eagle.
The female and male both have these beautiful colors but the female is generally larger.
The Bald Eagle is a bird of prey. Their diet mostly consists of fish but they do eat other small animals.
Bald Eagles nests a large and the do reuse them from year to year. The nesting material consists of sticks, leaves and other natural materials. They prefer to nest in trees but will build a nest on the ground if trees are very scarce. The lay 1 to 3 eggs each spring.
The very image of the Bald Eagle brings human’s to often feel awestruck by their size, majestic posture and beauty. Mostly of North America the once endangered bird has regained most of it’s numbers.
